Donna-Marie Rowe
Mrs. Donna-Marie Rowe is an award-winning transformational leader who is passionate about personal, spiritual and professional growth as well as impacting the lives of young people.
She is a pioneer and is responsible for leading the use of social media in Government Communication in Jamaica. As a result she was awarded the RJRGleaner Honour Award for Public Service in 2019 for her inspiring leadership of the Jamaica Information Service (JIS), managing its transformation into a modernized government agency for more than thirteen years.
During her tenure, she built effective revenue channels for JIS, expanded partnerships with Government Agencies as well as the private sector and other groups and created new formats for media productions. She led the agency to new heights in corporate branding and favourability rating among Jamaicans of more than 70 per cent and improved staff morale over the period.
Donna-Marie leads with a steady hand and strives for positive relationships in all settings. She can easily find the silver lining in a difficult situation and typically enjoys the thrill of trying new things. Consequently, she led her team to achieve international certification of their quality management system in record time.
A lifelong learner especially of leadership principles, Donna-Marie is a Maxwell Leadership Team Member having followed the work of leadership expert, John Maxwell from her early professional career and making the life-changing decision to join his team in May 2022. Prior to this achievement, Donna-Marie successfully completed the prestigious Caribbean Leadership Project’s Leadership Development Programme as a member of Cohort 3.
A Justice of the Peace, Board Member of ARISE Support and Empowerment Ministries, internationally certified Life Skills Trainer in the Passport to Success programme, blogger and upcoming author of the book “The CEO’s Restroom”, Donna-Marie is anchored by her Christian faith. A devoted wife and mother of two adolescent children, she has a passion for preparing young people for the world of work.
The leadership lights she shares are from her more than two decades of earnest and deliberate study of leadership principles taken from Biblical scripture, characters and circumstances. Life lessons from her desire to progressively offer transformational leadership are also captured throughout.
